Katie Brader
LMFT, LPC, SEP
PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Reaching out for help can be hard. I appreciate the bravery involved in doing so. All clients are people, first and foremost, and problems are treated with respect and integrity specific to one’s unique issues and circumstance.

I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward's University, am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), a Bodywork and Somatic Education Practitioner (BASE™), and am fully trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, I completed the General Mediation and Advanced Family Mediation courses offered by the Dispute Resolution Center in Austin, TX, and am a Texas certified sign language interpreter. Bi-lingual in English and ASL, I provide services to D/deaf and hard of hearing individuals and to families with both hearing and D/deaf members.

Staying on the cutting-edge of proven therapies is fundamental to my commitment to effective, quality care for my clients. I work with numerous issues including situational and persistent depression, anxiety, family discord, motor vehicle accidents, significant abuse histories, medical traumas, and life transitions. I'm also dedicated to helping female and male survivors of domestic/interpersonal violence, sexual abuse, and rape heal and reclaim their lives.

I thrive on diverse cultures, histories, and peoples, and this keeps me actively on the quest for stamps for my passport.
